Tec Inc. is a professional corporation founded in 1983 by Terrance M. Kilbourne and Anton J. Eichmuller.
A re-imaging campaign included the company changing its name to Tec Inc. Engineering & Design.

Tec began with a staff of two, primarily providing electrical engineering services. Within 1-year the firm
had grown to a staff of nine with the added capability of providing mechanical engineering services.
Today, Tec has three partners and 20 staff in two locations providing electrical & mechanical
engineering, lighting design and technology design services for commercial, industrial, and institutional
facilities throughout the United States.

In May of 1986 the firm moved from its original offices in Willoughby to facilities at Center Plaza
South, Eastlake, Ohio. In 1989, Tec converted a warehouse into what is now our headquarters
at 33851 Curtis Boulevard, Eastlake, Ohio. In 1995 this office space was nearly doubled through
a major remodeling and expansion project.  The first branch office opened in Columbus, Ohio in the
fall of 2005.  In 2007 Tec completed the build out of about 2500 sq. ft. of new space in Eastlake
including: a new office, training room, increased storage, as well as improved circulation. In December
2010 Tec completed it's latest renovation, adding much needed restrooms along with a multi-purpose
lunchroom.  To kick-off the 2011 year, a group of employees got together and acquired a ping pong
table.  Most days you can find the group challenging each other during the lunchhour.
