Rocky River Public Library completed a phased renovation and entry expansion of the existing 1928 vintage public library building. Tec completed the engineering for an extensive remodeling of the lower level community rooms, main level entry and reading room, and upper level children’s department.

Porsche and Mercedes dealerships. Tec completed mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering and lighting design for these two facilities.

Renovation of the Audio/Visual department into the new TechCentral, computer and technology area.

Tec Inc. completed the electrical engineering for the new construction of the Lakeland Community College Holden University Center. The University Center has classrooms, laboratories, conference rooms and faculty offices shared by multiple universities providing distance learning in northeast Ohio. Electrical engineering was developed to meet the needs of current and future students and educators, with receptacles for computers, wireless technology and video conference capability. A unique feature of the lighting is the use of LED as the primary lamp source for illumination throughout the building.

Spire Institute, Geneva, Ohio World-class sports complex and training facility

Ardra Zinkon received the GE Edison Award of Excellence for Environmental Design for this project. Tec completed the lighting design for the the Farmer School of Business at Miami University. The project incorporated custom designed fixtures to provide a classic look, blending with the architecture, while exceeding energy efficiency standards by 20 percent.

Dublin Methodist Hospital, Dublin, OH Ardra Zinkon, lighting designer at Tec Inc. Engineering & Design completed the lighting design of the patient rooms and public spaces in this new construction hospital. This is a Pebble Project hospital.

Brio is a national restaurant chain. Tec has completed full HVAC, electrical, plumbing and lighting design for more than 15 restaurants across the county.

Lake County YMCA Central Branch, Painesville, Ohio. In separate projects, Tec completed lighting design and electrical engineering in the Healthy Lifestyle Center, youth Adventure Center and Entrance Lobby & Corridor.

At the Lakewood Winterhurst Ice Rink maintenance had apparently been lacking over the years. The old rooftop units had deteriorated so much they no longer functioned properly and did not provide proper outdoor air requirements. This produced inefficient cooling of the ice and uncomfortable environment for spectators. Tec Inc. completed the design of a new HVAC system and lighting upgrade for the Winterhurst Ice Rink. Tec began the design a new HVAC system that would provide proper cooling and dehumidification of the ice, and sufficient air replacement that contributes to a comfortable and safe environment for the patrons of the rink. This portion of the project has been held due to budgetary restrictions. In addition, Tec provided lighting design services to replace the existing HID lighting with more efficient and aesthetically pleasing “ice rink” linear fluorescent fixtures over the ice and HID indirect around the bleachers. The added benefits include better color rendition, instant on capability, longer life, and a reduction in energy consumption. Additionally, the reduction in total wattage increases the temperature control capability of the ice surface within the arenas.

Tec Inc. Engineering & Design has completed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for multiple renovation and replacement projects at the hospital. Included are renovation of the ICU, CCU, NICU and servery; and replacement of chillers, air-handling units, and emergency generators.
