The surgical suite and sterile corridor project included improvements to the existing space; expanding the existing operating rooms; and providing new lighting, air conditioning, surgical lights, and ceiling mounted service columns.

The new MRI and X-Ray unit improvements project consisted of a building expansion and renovation of the existing X-ray department to accommodate new equipment. Existing electrical and mechanical utility services were relocated and additional capacity provided to accommodate the expanded space.

Tec provided engineering services for and emergency generator study and subsequent improvements to add mechanical equipment and air-handling units to the emergency power system.

The Medical Lab utility system study included Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services to determine the existing conditions and recommended improvements for the medical lab renovations. The areas surveyed included Microbiology Lab, Office and Storage, Core Lab, and space designated for a New Lab. The final report documented the existing conditions, and recommendations for improvements to accommodate the proposed construction program.

The project consisted of the complete renovation and expansion of the existing Emergency Department. The engineering design and resulting construction was required to be phased to allow the department to remain in operation during the construction period.

The department was expanded into the existing ambulance entrance, with a new ambulance canopy established to the south. All existing treatment, trauma, procedure and triage rooms were renovated, and six new treatment rooms were provided. The existing nurses station was repositioned and reconfigured to provide improved visibility and control. Expanded waiting and family consoling offices were also provided. The mechanical and electrical infrastructure was reviewed and modified to accommodate the expansion. The medical gas system was expanded and modified to accommodate the additional treatment rooms.
